I travel a lot and usually work abroad; therefore, I like experiencing different wine regions and varietals. Hungary, Greece, and Croatia have been the most recent areas of interest, and I really got into (good) rose while living in France. I generally like good value wines and don't spend too much on a bottle. To explain my star ratings a bit, I would hope I don't buy one-star wines; two stars are disappointing wines; three stars are ejoyable wines that I would have no problem buying again in limited quantities; and four-star wines are what I would buy again in larger quantities. As for five stars, I reserve this for that oh so sweet bottle of Pio Cesare 1997 barolo, that Tiffan's Grand Selection in Budapest, or the Alte d'Altese I bought in Tuscany. Those were great wines.
