The lightest Chianti we've ever had, a sip after a bite of eggplant decreased the tannins and complimented the food to a degree rarely experienced. Wonderful.

Not paired with food, this red wine was a very pleasant stand-alone wine. When compared to the other bottles we had tonight, the Fresno State wine does not compare. However, there are no aspects of this wine that are objectionable. Quite pleasant but not terribly complicated. A solid red for those who are not looking to drink their wallets under the table.

Peppery, long palette and very smooth. Medium bodied and quite lovely. We had this before a meal and thus it was not paired with anything. Wonderful as a stand-alone wine.

The first white wine produced by Valhalla, this Chardonnay is a spicy surprise! No longer sold (except in gift packs I believe), this wine has been rumored to peak at 10 years. I just had a bottle 3 months ago, and it just keeps getting better.
