2004 Petrolo Torrione
(2007-07-05 21:40:51 UTC)Plenty of blackberry and currant aromas. Intense. Full-bodied and very chewy, with ripe tannins and a long, powerful finish. A structured Sangiovese blend. Best after 2008.
2006 Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough
(2007-05-27 17:03:01 UTC)Wow, yellow grapefruit bomb on the nose and taste, extremely crisp with hints of fresh lemon zest, and fresh tart granny smith apple, well balanced, good acidity with a silky mouth feel. Very pleasurable wine.
2005 Pessagno Central Avenue Pinot Noir
(2007-05-27 16:59:09 UTC)Can you say cherries?! Explosion of bright red cherries and strawberries on the nose. This is a fresh wine, a nice cherry danish greets you on the mid palate with hints of vanilla and icing, followed by a pleasing finish. Creamy mouthfeel with a nice finish, drink now!
2005 Bodegas Castaño Monastrell
(2007-05-27 16:52:58 UTC)Given this price this is a profound effort and excellent value. Deep purple color with a pleasent noce, gobs of red currant, prunes, earthy tones, and white pepper. Lots of dark fruit on the palate with supple tannins, this wine does a nice job filling the mouth.
2002 Robert Mondavi Winery Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
(2007-05-27 16:46:23 UTC)Nice dark ruby color, blackcurrant, licorice, and even some coffee come out on the nose. Full flavor and mouthfeel, loaded with dark fruit with hints of mocha and oak. Nice balanced effort with a long finish. This wine will blossom with age.
