Message Reviews Cellar Shopping List
I work as an administrative assistant at a small hospital in order to keep me in food and wine. Favourite things to do include travelling (especially to places known for food and/or wine), writing, playing on the internet, socializing, and generally being away from work. British Columbia wines (especially from the Okanagan Valley) form the bulk of my cellar, and I love to introduce people to the bottled beauty that comes out of that region, but I'm open to trying anything from anywhere if it's recommended to me and I can get it!

"Pure and driven, with great acidity moving the red licorice, plum and raspberry fruit along, while mineral and hot stone notes flitter underneath. Shows the purity of the vintage wonderfully. Drink now through 2021. 450 cases imported."

"Packed with bramble, tar, red currant, licorice and cocoa, this muscular Châteauneuf gives way to briary tannins and smoke. Big, fruit-packed finish. Equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best from 2006 through 2020. 3,750 cases made."

"Fantastic beam of red cherry fruit and violets is backed by kirsch and pepper notes. Strong minerally spine drives the ripe, racy finish.Drink now through 2020. 7000 cases made.-JM"

"Tight at first, but quickly picks up steam in the glass, with dark cherry, plum, tobacco, pepper, mineral and hot stone notes pumping through the long, fruit- and i terroir n -filled finish. Really fleshes out nicely, with velvety tannins that are atypical in '03. Drink now through 2020. 17,000 cases made."
2000 Lang Pinot Meunier
(2006-06-11 14:29:02 UTC)A wonderful light-bodied red good with red meat and strong flavours, or just on its own.
