2005 Columbia Winery Cellarmaster Johannisberg Riesling
(2007-03-11 10:00:12 UTC)Great bottle for an afternoon in the sun with some crackers, cheese and apples. Quite fruity, but not too syrup-y. If I remember correctly, there still was a nice crisp finish. I just hope you can get this besides just visiting the winery outside Seattle.
2005 The Little Penguin Cabernet Sauvignon
(2007-03-11 09:56:20 UTC)I drank this awhile ago. I think it was okay, but that the main bonus is the label.
2002 Charles Shaw Cabernet Sauvignon
(2007-03-11 09:50:56 UTC)Not worth reviewing. For $3 bucks, how bad can it be?
2003 Red Bicyclette 2003 Syrah
(2007-03-11 09:49:37 UTC)I tried this awhile ago. I think it was not bad, worth buying again. That being said, I don't remember much else.
2004 Charles Shaw Shiraz
(2007-03-11 09:47:30 UTC)Great for when you want some wine, but are going lowbrow.
NV Tott's Extra Dry California Champagne
(2007-03-11 09:44:13 UTC)We like this with a splash of Chambord and a raspberry. Great way to add that element of class without the price tag or just have a darn good drink.
2004 Charles Shaw Merlot
(2007-03-11 09:38:34 UTC)I think there was something wrong with our bottle. It was quite lame, even for $3. I think the Shiraz is consistently better.
NV Duval-Leroy, Fleur de Champagne, Brut
(2007-02-16 14:34:41 UTC)I am not sure how the price tag is one dollar sign. This bottle is 39.99 in our stores. That being said, I really enjoyed this champagne, and agree whole-heartedly with the other review. Veuve is one of my favorites, but I might have enjoyed this one even more as it had a little more of the fruit flavor, and still the delicate little bubbles and fresh finish. I will definitely buy this one again! An added bonus is the design on the bottle, which would impress even the most elitist wine drinkers. This is an all-around winner.
NV Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Brut
(2007-02-16 14:26:50 UTC)This is not a bad champagne, but for the price there are definitely others that are better for the money. One opinion was that the aroma was quite unappetizing, but luckily the champagne didn't taste like the scent. However, for a decent-priced champagne, the flavor is a bit lack-luster, meaning it's a bit flat/hollow.
2003 Eremo Barbera e Nebbiolo
(2006-06-28 13:20:57 UTC)This is not a bad wine, I just had higher hopes for it, being decently priced, and including nebbiolo. It was a nice bottle, I'm just not sure I'd get it again as the bang for the buck was not amazing. That said, the wine was lighter and fruitier than I had imagined, presumably as the nebbiolo was of a minor percentage in comparison to the barbera. It was a lighter red, not too dry. A good solid bottle, so if you're looking for one like this of this price, it's a solid bet, it's just not out of this world, too bad.
