NV Chateau de Chamilly
(2008-02-19 23:30:48 UTC)amazingly complex pinot noir with metallic, fish scales on top of prunes and leathery flavors. A bit bretty also, which I find I like. This is not your typical california pinot noir.
2006 Hermann J. Wiemer Dry Rose
(2007-10-07 04:27:10 UTC)It just really reminded me of strawberries and cream. Very nice and pretty rose.
2006 Dr. konstantin Frank Gewurztraminer
(2007-09-20 05:05:46 UTC)A nice Gewurztraminer that is not overpowering. The usual slew of tropical fruits is here, but without the overripe to rotting fruits that seem to always accompany the Gewurtz.
2006 Babich 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
(2007-09-20 04:58:11 UTC)A pleasant wine that is nicely balanced. Green peppers and papaya flavors dominate.
2006 Hermann J. Wiemer Dry Riesling
(2007-09-20 04:16:53 UTC)Beautiful. Floral scents with classic apple, peaches, and pears that unfold delicately, instead of attacking your nose with alcohol and fruit. Beautiful flowers on the palate that invoked rain and moss. Best finish I've ever had in a wine. I would drink this wine just to experience that finish again.
2005 Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Gris
(2007-09-20 04:10:17 UTC)Pungent tropical fruits, especially banana and grapefruit, with a strange taste that reminded me of blue cheese. Also highly acidic, which I suspect might be better with food. Not my style, but I can imagine a lot of people liking this wine a lot, especially because of the overpowering nose.
2006 Dr.Konstantin Frank Dry Riesling
(2007-09-20 04:05:04 UTC)Good Riesling with lots of apples and peaches, and with bright acidity, which might have been a bit too much. But it was a good, strong riesling that went well with food and was enjoyed by everyone at the table. But to be honest, I was expecting more from this producer.
2006 Chateau Potelle Sauvignon Blanc
(2007-09-15 04:47:12 UTC)Banana banana banana.
2006 Bonterra Viognier
(2007-09-15 04:43:55 UTC)Fresh green bean, bartlett pear, and flowers. Didn't like the finish.
2001 Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
(2007-09-15 04:29:51 UTC)Has coffee, pine needles, soap, and tart cherries on the nose. Moist earth and mushrooms on the palate. A complex and delicious wine.
