Hey GV,
Just read the TIME magazine article about you and let me say that this is AWESOME. Keep up the good work son!
Thanks for the good thoughts! I will post everything as soon as possible on Friday!
Wow, Johnny Five-times...easy with the posts <look below>. Just wanted to wish all left-coasters a great time at your upcoming party. I'd love to make it to another official WLTV event. Be sure to post pics/video as soon as you get back that night or you may have unpatient people waiting on the forum angry with you. Does this ring a bell....Brandon??? ;)
Have fun next week!
What's going on GV. What the heck are those legislators thinking? Losing out-of-state wine shipments in Illinois and now they want to take it away from Texas? ridiculous.
My representative voted down the amendment and never returned my calls or email. it's a bummer man
2004 Brancaia Il BLU IGT
(2007-04-29 19:09:51 UTC)Tasted 4/2007 in Illinois.
Nice, dark color. Didn't pick up on the floral notes on the nose that WS tasting note reported critique...more red fruit than floral. taste of cherry and game with oak was balanced but not thought-provoking. finish was medium length, not as long as others i've had. This would have been better with food and IMO is not worth the $$.
2003 2003 Darioush Signature Shiraz
(2007-04-29 19:08:51 UTC)Tasted 8/2006 in Mission Viejo, CA.
This wine was awful. Very HOT and very AGGRESSIVE. Had to choke it down. What happened to this wine? Bad batch or way too early to drink. Overall, dark red/purple tinted paint thinner in a glass. When this happens in a $50 retail bottle of wine, never ever get it again.
2002 Darioush Signature Shiraz
(2007-04-29 18:38:18 UTC)Tasted 1/2006 in Illinois.
Was a medium red, somewhat transparent. Very perfumed nose. Black Raspberry smell and flavor all the way. Liked the soft and round tannins in this wine. 91 points.
2003 El Nido Clio Jumilla
(2007-04-29 18:35:09 UTC)Tasted 2/2007. dark red color. nose was great...difficult to describe in words. Tasted like the fruit-bomb it had been built up to be...w/ some complexity. Plums, Oak, Raspberry flavors. Easy to drink and has a lingering "sweet" taste that I rarely find in the red wines I generally consume. Very nice...will hold the 04 Clio.
