2007 Georges Dubeuf Beaujolais Nouveau
(2007-11-26 20:01:09 UTC)light & fruity, this was the first nouveau ive tried. It almost seemed to not have alcohol, but the taste of freshness was almost as if i had picked the grapes & bottled this one myself that same day.
2005 David Bruce Pinot Nior
(2007-11-26 19:49:22 UTC)a really nice pinot we started off our thanksgiving meal with. full bodied & fruity, we paired it with duck & some vegetables. It was tasty & delightful.
2005 Trader Joe's Late Harvest Moscato
(2007-11-20 18:40:28 UTC)try it on vanilla ice cream with berries. you'll thank me.
a wonderful light, yet almost syrupy sweet wine, loaded with apricot or peachy type flavor...simply wonderful for a sweet treat.
2006 Well Red California Table Wine
(2007-11-20 18:35:27 UTC)a decent organic red. it was nothing special, but was better than most simple table blends ive tried.
2004 Natural Blonde Syrah
(2007-11-20 18:33:14 UTC)really tasty, a great organic wine for its nice low price. nothing too sharp or annoying, smooth & flirty, just like the blonde on the bottle. try the natural blonde chardonay, too!
2004 Chasing Clouds 2004 Shiraz
(2007-11-20 18:31:43 UTC)we brought a couple bottles of this to burning man this year, based on the price. this crap was so pungent & brutal, it was undrinkable. i think we gave the other bottle away? i cant remember, but i was terribly disappointed.
it better off being used to light fires with.
2004 Rabbit Ridge Syrah
(2007-11-20 18:27:35 UTC)i couldnt even finish my first glass, and thats saying a lot, as i tend to be very forgiving with wines most of the time, when im on a mission just to drink.
ive never returned a bottle of wine, especially to my own place of employment, but i did so the very next day & got my tres pinos that does me no harm.
this bottle was so pungent & strong...much like nail polish remover, it seemed, perhaps a fruity flavored /scented nail polish remover? we even let it breathe for 30 min absent mindedly before pouring it, so that wasnt the issue. this wine is just best pured out on the curb for your dead homies.
2006 TBD California Zinfandel
(2007-11-20 18:22:59 UTC)did well for chugging at a party. it was lighter in flavor than i expected. i think i was double fisting it with a charles shaw chardonay.
2005 Gnarly Head Old Vine Lodi Zinfandel
(2007-11-20 18:18:41 UTC)we got this bottle at a italian spot in berkeley on my birthday, i had the sundried tomato & artichoke linguini with chicken. the bold robust flavor of this wine was very prominent, as well as a delicate fruity sweetness. i sought this bottle out immediately in stores & have enjoyed several others since. a very enjoyable wine for all occasions.
2005 Blackstone Pinot Noir
(2007-11-20 18:10:55 UTC)i drank this bottle the night of the burn in 2006. i had brought a random selection of wines i grabbed last second at some grocery store in reno before hitting the playa & this was the last in my cooler. (yes it was cold, so as to not be hot as fuk in my tent, the only alternative) i sat alone on the pile of wood next to a burn platform, watched the fire & sipped from the bottle. It was sweet & perfect & easily the best of the wines i consumed that week.
