When I'm not face down in the gutter, clinging to a bottle of pinot, I'm paid as a professional rabble-rouser in Boston!

Hello Everyone! Just a quick update on recent tasting notes: * While overzealously sniffing the bouquet on a Bonterra Zinfandel at a tasting, I accidentally snorted it up my nose and wrote a review based on my nostril-tasting. See here: http://www.corkd.com/wine/view/27724-Bonterra_2005_Zinfandel * Also from organic producer Bonterra, the first Cali Sauvignon Blanc I've ever run across that managed to successfully fake the New Zealand style (minus the acidity). See here: http://www.corkd.com/wine/view/27427-Bonterra_2006_Sauvignon_Blanc * After driving through the Niagara region last month, I reviewed a tasting battle royale between two Ontario Baco Noirs - both smelled like Parisian sewage and tasted like candy, but if you're curious about this unusual varietal, see here: http://www.corkd.com/wine/view/27217-Konzelmann_Estate_Winery_2005_Baco_Noir__2_ * Lastly, one of the nicest rose wines I've found for the summer at a low cost, made of 100% Touriga Nacional - the grape used in Portugal for making fortified Port - is reviewed here: http://www.corkd.com/wine/view/14068-Quinta_da_Alorna_2005_Touriga_Nacional_Rose More reviews in the pipeline. Enjoy & send any great ideas for hot-weather wines my way!

Hey, Thanks for the add. The reason it keeps popping up in top rated is someone gave it 100.

I don't get it: clicking on "Top Rated Wines" in Cork'd brings up at #3 Beringer California Collection White Merlot 2005 - is this the work of some devious hacker/wine-sadist? The average rating out of 5 reviews is 56.4 - just barely above what you get for being a wine! Help! New Cork'd Management!

BTW, I love your notes! Especially your oak monster saga. Classic.
