I am kind of new to the world of wine. For years, I have been one to appreciate California Micro-Brews and European imports....then I saw "Sideways", and wondered if I should give wine a chance. I did, and I discovered Cabernet to be my favorite. If I didn't like wine before it was because I had a co-worker that gave a glass of Merlot from a winebox! I am no expert yet...and I enjoy feedback. So it appears that Cabernets from Inland regions of California like Modesto or Temecula are too tangy or just not very good. So far that is the impression that I get. So far my favorites are Aquinas (Napa) & Joulian (Carmel Valley).
