2005 Tomero Malbeck
(2008-02-02 17:20:08 UTC)This velvety wine was smooth and aromatic.
2005 Sileno Cannonau Di Sardena - Ferriccio Deiana
(2007-12-03 14:08:42 UTC)This was beautiful wine that opened up quickly when we waited for our food to arrive. It wasn't strikingly bold but rather smooth. A hint of chocolate that made for thorough enjoyment. I've been enjoying Cannonau Di Sardena quite a bit.
2005 Handley Pinot Noir Anderson Valley
(2007-11-05 19:24:05 UTC)Amazing Pinot Noir from Northern California's Anderson Valley. Slightly buttery for a Pinot but tasty nontheless. Smooth with a bit of earthiness.
2005 Chono Carmenere
(2007-09-25 04:18:23 UTC)Combines the charm of Merlin and the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon; and, as a late ripener, its low-yielding vines produce exceptionally deep colored wines. This beauty offers up ripe purple fruits, a delicious coffee-cola quality, and freshly stripped rosemary stalk.
2004 Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva
(2007-09-22 12:06:58 UTC)This is a full-throttle, bone dry red. Cannonau, also kowsn as Grenache in Freance, grows really well on the eastern side of Sardinia and offers up a heady fragrance of violets, earth and tart red fruits. Pair with strong cheeses, grilled or roasted meats and stews with lots of herbs.
2005 Unti Segromigno
(2007-07-14 19:11:06 UTC)What can we say about Mick Unti? We love his wines, and the Segromigno - one of his standouts - has it all: bright fruit, solid acidity, structure, complexity, and sophistication. This will drink at its best over the next few years; and with only 1300 cases made, get it while you can. Tasty by itself or with Mediterranean dishes.
2001 Inama Bradisismo
(2007-07-14 19:06:29 UTC)The selection of grapes for this wine hail from the Colli Berici hills, the oldest growing area for Cabernet in Italy. Hand harvested and traditionally fermented, the Bradisismo is aged 15 months in new French oak giving it maximized concentration and reflection of the unique terroir. A must if you yearn for big Italian reds.
2002 Gordon Brothers Syrah
(2007-03-26 13:17:01 UTC)A five time medal winner, this estate grown, sexy syrah presents itself with notes of vanilla, red raspberry and rose petals, followed by mouthfilling fruit, espresso and underlying clove.
2005 Woop Woop
(2007-03-26 13:00:51 UTC)Rich blackberry fruit and spice dense enough to almost chew on. This is a big bold bottle that is a delicious companion to barbeque and burgers.
2002 Le Collection
(2007-03-26 12:42:59 UTC)Great packaging, good value and a delicious flavor profile that has broad appeal and will complement a range of cuisine. A party wine if there ever was one.
