I am a Philosophy major at Mercer University in Macon, GA. I am graduating in May of 2008. I was born and raised in Sarasota, FL, a town known for its culture as well as its excellent dining scene. My love affair with wine can be traced back to my childhood when I would steal sips from my Mom's glass when she looked away. Now, I'm 23 years old and a hardcore oenophile.

2008 Woot Cellars Adequate Gift Wine
(2010-01-02 21:54:58 UTC)Light bodied with a bit of smokiness. Surprisingly good for what I took, originally, to be a gag.
2007 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon
(2009-12-28 17:33:53 UTC)Smooth and buttery
2006 Erath 2006 Pinot Noir
(2009-07-11 19:14:59 UTC)Raisins, dried fruits like apples, and oak on the nose. Buttery smooth at first, fruit flavors become apparent and then has an oaky finish.
2004 Calvet Thunevin Cuvee Constance 2004
(2009-01-13 06:49:46 UTC)This wine is 60 Grenache, 30 Syrah, and 10 Carignan. Fruity on the nose, berries like a strawberry danish kinda smell. It's definitely got a little burn to it on the finish, owing to the 15% alcohol content.
2006 Jean Albrecht Gewurztraminer Reserve
(2009-01-01 22:47:01 UTC)Crisp and refreshing. This wine is lightly fruity, tasting of pears and apples. The nose reminds me of fresh cut grass.
NV Bay Bridge Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
(2008-09-26 02:15:20 UTC)This bottle was less than 3 dollars. I'll tell you, it tasted fine, but nothing spectacular or worth noting.
2006 2006 Smoking Loon Pinot Noir
(2008-09-16 02:49:05 UTC)Cheap. Light bodied and fruity. Nothing too complex. Easy to drink.
2006 Arrow Creek Pinot Noir
(2008-08-04 04:36:42 UTC)I thought this had a very floral nose, though it did dissipate after breathing. Very smooth wine with a bit of tartness on the finish that is reminiscent of under ripened berries. Long finish. I wouldn't call it a "typical pinot".
2006 35° South Merlot
(2008-06-15 03:36:27 UTC)This wine left a bitter taste in my mouth because I was made fun of for its screw cap. Haha, I jest! This wine was weak, however, and didn't offer me much.
2006 King Estate Next Pinot Noir
(2008-06-15 03:22:40 UTC)Superb! Cherries, and a little bit of fig on the nose with some floral components. Very light bodied with some fruit up front. Shorter finish.
