2004 Chateau Bonnet 2004 Bordeaux
(2008-10-17 15:23:10 UTC)Bitter and nose-curdling. Better after a night in the refrigerator, but still unbalanced and unpleasant. Not recommended.
2004 Poggio alle Querce Il Guado Bolgheri
(2008-01-23 02:40:19 UTC)Bloated, overly alcoholic, no structure. Tasted better in the store than with food at home.
2005 Louis Latour Marsannay
(2008-01-23 02:37:46 UTC)Crisp, precise, aromatic.
2005 Orobio Viura Bodegas Artadi
(2007-11-27 06:34:31 UTC)Overripe plums and honeydew. Off-dry.
2005 William Fevre Champs Royaux Chablis
(2007-10-27 23:14:45 UTC)Mild and smooth. Pears and apricots on the nose. Good finish, but not enough structure to age well.
2005 Chateau Ste. Michelle Gewurztraminer
(2007-10-23 03:51:15 UTC)Spicy and strongly floral. Off-sweet. Wildflowers and ripe berries.
2001 Chateau Ste. Michelle Syrah
(2007-10-09 01:13:40 UTC)Way too young to drink (Oct. 2007). Nearly overwhelming tannins, but not without the appeal of the scent of dry plums and blueberries. Promising structure.
2005 Princesse Anne Mâcon-Igé Chardonnay
(2007-10-02 02:45:10 UTC)Sunny, fruity, lemony, and zesty, and off-dry. More a wine to drink than to ponder.
2005 Edit WineJakob Jung Riesling trocken
(2007-09-14 19:27:17 UTC)Much like the 2004, but without the bitter edge. Really crisp.
2004 Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna DOC
(2007-08-17 03:21:55 UTC)Interestingly enough, lacks balance. Too much alcohol makes the wine a bit too bitter! Anise dominates the flavors. Lacks the smoothness of the best grenaches. Might be too young, but the tannins didn’t seem structured enough to sustain significant aging.
