2005 Coume del Mas Schistes
(2007-11-28 02:03:44 UTC)Wow... I loved this bottle. It's got great fruit without being fake. I got strawberries off both the nose and from tasting it. It's got some nice pepper flavors and aromas. I think this is a great bottle to open with anyone as it can fit any palate. Also the nose kept me sniffing the wine for a good 10 mins before I even bothered tasting it.
2004 Twenty Rows The Grappler
(2007-06-13 23:35:46 UTC)I got chocolate on the nose. It's got a great silky finish but a seriously gripping tanin structure when you first drink it. Probably needs some cellaring or decanting.... I just opened this bottle about 30 mins ago. I would buy more of it.
2005 Castano Monastrell 2005
(2007-06-09 04:06:35 UTC)For 5 dollars and 50 cents I think this wine is marvelous. I thought about buying a case immediately after having it. It took it a bit to open up but then again it's young. I don't have tasting notes however I'll be sure to keep some when I taste the other 2 bottles of it I bought.
2004 San Felipe Cabernet Sauvignon
(2007-06-09 04:02:04 UTC)Man I need to start taking notes instead of just writing down numbers on my list. I remember I gave it a 80-82. I also remember that their Merlot of the same vintage was an excellent value but I didn't at all care for their Cabernet Sauvignon.
I have another bottle of it. Maybe it was just that bottle... we'll soon find out.
2004 San Felipe Merlot

2004 2004 Waca Cabernet Sauvignon
(2007-06-09 03:51:26 UTC)I remember I liked it. Took it a bit to open up. I remember it being fruity and fun but this is all going off memory from having it about 2 weeks ago :(
2005 2005 Domaine De La Garrigue Cotes Du Rhone Cuvee Romaine

"As far as the nose, as Gary says, there is some serious basil and pepper going on. Is it possible to smell tomatoe especially the stem portion because if so I got some of that. I got some asparagus and maybe balsamic vinegar on the nose as well. I'm drinking it 6/2007 and it's got a seriously palate gripping tanin content. Dry finish for real and somewhat bitter. Interestingly though as you drink it it's got a burst of fruit. My guesses are strawberry, cranberry, and a hint of pomegrante. I think the pomegrante comes from that puckering effect as well."
