It felt direct, maybe even sharp on the palate. Not oaky, not fruity, not flavored of cocoa - this is straight wine.

This is an excellent first wine for non-drinkers. That said, it's so light that you might find yourself drinking twice as much just looking for some flavor. I definitely prefer richer wines than this.
