2006 Manyana Tempranillo
(2008-05-24 17:29:16 UTC)Fruity smell.
It's full bodied and dry. Not like undrinkable, it would actually be good with food. This varietal is unique to Spain. I don't hate it, but I wouldn't buy it either. Nothing special really. As far as I'm concerned it's just another non-sweet red wine. Supposedly it has a lot of tannins. I'd pass.
2005 Sutter Home Merlot
(2008-05-24 17:27:44 UTC)Tastes like bad dry church wine. Tingly aftertaste, maybe too much alcohol. No good. Coats the mouth, which would be good if the wine wasn't terrible. Pass.
NV Sutter Home White Zinfandel
(2008-05-24 17:24:23 UTC)Starts off ok with a hint of sweet, but it's kinda bland. There isn't much to be had taste-wise. Ends a little bitter with an acidic aftertaste. I don't really like this much. Drinkable, but Pass.
2005 Sutter Home Sauvignon Blanc
(2008-05-24 17:22:32 UTC)I don't much like it. Burns after a bit, maybe the acidity is a bit too high. First it's watery with no real taste, then it gets bitter. Alcohol aftertaste. Major pass, don't waste your money on this.
2005 Sutter Home Moscato
(2008-05-24 17:19:35 UTC)Starts sweet and fruity. Tastes like sweet apples and pears and other light colored fruits, along with the obvious grapes. They should call this Grapple Wine. Very balanced, great mouth feel. Apple for days.
2005 Camelot Chardonnay
(2008-05-24 03:16:03 UTC)Smells fruity. Very nice.
Tastes amazing. It's sweet, but not overly sweet. Light and beautiful. It's so good that I double checked what I was drinking. I highly recommend this wine. Absolutely wonderful.
2003 Camelot Merlot
(2008-05-24 03:14:20 UTC)This wine smells amazing. That's where it gets most of it's points from. It has deep dark berries. I could smell this for days. Simply amazing.
The taste is a bit acidic I think, maybe a tad bitter, but I can't tell. Either way it would pair very well with meat, like a steak or something.
2004 Camelot Cabernet Sauvignon
(2008-05-24 03:12:15 UTC)Smells nice, but I couldn't pick up any specific flavors. Supposedly it smells of dark fruits with a subtle leather, but I didn't notice that one.
This is pretty smooth, not dry, but far from sweet. It tastes nice, but the flavors are fairly subtle. Would work well with meat. In fact, this would be an awesome wine to cook with and drink. Very long wine; the subtle flavors stay in your mouth for a long time. Overall, I like it.
2005 Alamos Malbec
(2008-05-24 03:06:53 UTC)It's very smooth, velvety. The flavors are very subtle. This is a very light wine. Maybe I'm missing something, but there just wasn't a lot of flavor to be had. That being said, the flavors to be had were pleasant, I just can't tell you what they were.
2006 Sweet Bitch Chardonnay
(2008-05-24 02:52:35 UTC)Smells fruity, not a ton of smelling to be had, but enjoyable nonetheless.
A sweet white wine. This one is not as sweet as the Merlot from Sweet Bitch. It's light, and doesn't need any more sugar. It's definitely not sugary, but not far from dry. This won't rock your world, but it's good.
