Cherry red. Quite translucent. Strawberry jam and ripe fruit on the nose along with some peaches and vanilla.
On the palette this was far too jammy for my liking. If drinking strawberry jam appeals to you then buy this wine.

Deep purple colour with a broad translucent rim. Lovely nose of tar, pepper, black cherries, blackberries and a little bit of strawberry jam. Promising start, but unfortunately the wine falls apart as soon as it hits the palette. Poor structure, too hot, a little sour and very thin. The finish is short and hot. Poor to okay.

Lovely perfumed aroma of blackcurrants, vanilla, tar, tobacco, eucalyptus and a nice creaminess.
On the palette there are lovely fine tannins, a great purity of blackcurrant fruit along with some eucalyptus and tar.
Long cassis finish with a little pepperiness.
At its best 1 day after opening (cork was replaced and kept in a cool place). Think this wine is at its peak, perhaps very slightly over the hill. Lovely but drink now!
