I'm a really down to earth, easy going guy from canada. I've got a couple passions, one is mountain biking and the other is snowboarding. I haven't owned a car for about 10yrs and ride into work nearly all year long! Not because I can't but because I'd rather not :P I'm currently in the process of moving to OH so I can actually start living with my wife before our new baby arrives (she's due end of Nov)

2006 Cantina Dolianova Cannonau Di Sardegna Anzenas
(2009-09-16 15:43:43 UTC)Took a little while for this to open up. For the price it's not bad and a good bottle if you're looking for something different to go with grilled pizza or pasta!
2004 Villa Carafa Aglianico
(2009-09-16 15:43:43 UTC)Decanted for an hour. The aromas were much brighter than I thought I'd be getting based on other folks reviews. I got some floral notes and a hint of smoked wood mingled with raspberries and cherries. Upon drinking it I was struck with a very berry fruit explosion! Nice strawberries and red current. The mouthfeel was very dry with tons of sour cherries on the mid pallate. There wasn't to much of a finish to round the wine out but the tannins stuck with you along with that sour cherry taste that yearned to be quenched with another sip! I had this with the wife's homemade lasagna and it complimented perfectly.
2005 Warnke Cellars 2005 Napa Merlot
(2009-09-16 15:43:42 UTC)This was way better than I thought it would be for the price. It had more complexity than most of the wine you get at this price point. It had nice tannins that were firmly wrapped around some great fruit which coated the palate. The mouth feel was nice also. This isn't a thin wine and represents merlot very well especially for the price.

(2009-09-16 15:43:42 UTC)2003 Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf du Pape
(2009-09-16 15:43:42 UTC)Still very young with powerful tannins. After decanting for several hours the tannins softened and the fruit became much more prevalent.
2006 Stefano Mancinelli Lacrima Di Morro D Alba Santa Maria
(2009-09-16 15:43:42 UTC)kinda funky, not sure if it was heat damaged or just weird.

(2009-09-16 15:43:42 UTC)This was fantastic! It wasn't overly heavy with perfume/floral tastes and had the most amazing mouth feel. There was sweetness upfront followed by a wonderful clean acidity to clean off your palate in readiness for another sip!

(2009-09-16 15:43:41 UTC)Very very dry white. It contained enough fruit to balance and reveal it's hidden agenda... getting you to come back for another sip.
