Just getting into wine. Almost a chemist at one point in my life, I'm interested in the science behind winemaking just as much as the tasting of the wines.

Very sweet, lots of fruit, and a strong taste pomegranate on both the nose and the palette. Almost feels like a desert wine. Maybe a hint of orange.

The first thing I noticed about this was that it dried out my mouth immediately, more so than other cabs. Very "barky".

The flavors were very rich, mainly the blackberry and a slight cranberry.

Also, it seems to need about 5 minutes in the glass for all the flavors to come forward.

The finish seemed to never end. Great stuff! :)

Very crisp for a red wine. There's almost a "fizz" taste to it, but without the visual indication. Would definitely be a good table wine.

When I took the first sniff, it was nearly rusty. There is a bit of oak, much pepper, and sight bit of cherry, I think (difficult to tell). It had a longer finish than I was expecting.

I've had better luck with this Chilean wine than the last one. Can anyone recommend a REALLY GOOD Chilean red?

The blackberry and licorice are definitely there with just a hint of the tartness from a green apple. The tannins are strong, but they fade quickly before a long finish. Not bad for a red table wine.

Very crisp, peachy, and a bit sharp on the green apple (but I like sharp, so that's good). Makes you yearn for something to bite into.

I can taste oak and cherry right off the bat. It's sweet with a good bit of tannins as well. The finish is long and makes me salivate for more.

My friends and I find this one very inexpensive or discounted locally (Florida)...usually between $6 and $9. It's a common table wine for us and very consistent in it's taste and quality. I'm wondering how they pull it off...

I wasn't so impressed with this wine. The flavors seemed faded to the point where they were hard to distinguish, and there was little to no finish. I did let this one breathe for quite some time, but to no avail.

I had high hopes for this one seeing as it was one of the first I've had from Chile, and a lot of good things have been said about the old vines from that country. If anyone can recommend a typical Chilean Cabernet, I'd be appreciative.

Can definitely taste the cherry, but the label also claims plum and strawberry, which I can't really make out. Perhaps the plum comes through a bit in the finish.

On that note, the nose and finish are both a bit weak. There's a healthy bit of spice, especially on the back of the tounge. Ever so slightly sour as well.

Like it's advertised though: A good "everyday" wine. Good bang for the buck (though I did get mine through a packaged deal on woot.com).

Very impressed for a discounted bottle of wine!

Smooth drinking, deep, definite blackberry, and just a very slight hint of pepper, mainly toward the beginning of the finish. Finish is smooth and "blue" (rich, if that makes sense), leaving you wanting more.
