Nose of figs combined with berry jolly ranchers in a fruit-stained oak barrel. High alcohol, but lovely mouthfeel. The tannins have fully integrated in this bottle and the finish is very peppery. Fruity flavor, but alcohol overpowered all but the strawberry aspect. I'd say this is a "drink now" wine as I don't see it having the stuff to continue to improve. Very tasty.

Flabby, one dimensional and not very exciting. Not worth the $15 and change I paid. Very disappointing for a German Riesling. I am hoping it is just this one bottle. I have another so I will try again later this year.

Truly fascinating nose of very ripe dark fruits with an odd accompaniment I can't quite place . . . maybe bazooka bubble gum wrapper? Very unusual and quickly evolving. Tasted of cherries mixed with pipe tobacco with a little "fake fruit" on the mid-palate finished off with light oak and pleasing soft tannins. I don't know if this is a wine that would please everyone . . . but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
