(2009-10-19 19:46:01 UTC)Nicely balanced. Although slightly, and I mean very slightly hot on the tail end. But it doesn't really surpise me because that is the nature of many entry to mid level Cali brands. However, back to the tasting. Great apple, peach, grapefruit flavors with a touch of oak. You can tell that the oak contact was very short lived. But it gave it the necessary creamy, earthyness that was needed from the malo and oak contact. Overall a nice wine, althogh I don't know that I would pay approx $20 for it, it's still a nice wine from a great winemaking family! Check it out!

(2009-10-16 20:35:48 UTC)Black Tea, Espresso, Black Cherry on the nose, and coffee with black cherry and a little bit of spice on the finish. Very much a fruity juicy wine.
2005 Trefethen Estate Cabernet
(2009-10-16 20:30:07 UTC)HUGE Tannins... I mean HUGE. But has great ageability, going to be a really nice wine. Inky, dark raspberry and cranberry flavors.
