2005 D'Autrefois Alfio Moriconi Selection
(2007-03-31 23:35:19 UTC)Flavors of cherries, blueberries and boisonberries and a bit of oak. Full bodies but smooth. Very low tannins. Excellent value.
2005 Sonoma-Loeb 2005 Chardonnay
(2007-03-11 08:16:23 UTC)Tropical aromas with a hint of apple. Strong citrus and lemon on the palette, as well as pineapple. Dry. Strong alcohol taste and a bitter, sour finish. Not well balanced.
2005 Alain Corcia Bourgogne Pinot Noir
(2006-12-18 10:25:23 UTC)Aromas of black pepper, chile and black cherry. Plums, rum-raisin, lemon, and oak on the palate. Smooth, medium-bodied with light tannins. Short finish.
2004 Domaine Patrick Javillier "Cuvee des Forgets" Bourgogne
(2006-12-11 12:15:48 UTC)Citrus, pear, and vanilla aromas. Smooth and light-bodied. Short tangy finish.
2005 Ona Anakena Chile
(2006-12-10 04:04:01 UTC)Floral aromas with hints of pear and vanilla. Tastes of apricot, butter, pineapple, oak, and, yes, green beans. This wine had a complex mouthfeel. It was smooth and buttery, but at the same time it was pleasasntly spicy, and then it had a nice long crisp finish. This was a fun wine and a great value.
2004 Running With Scissors Central Coast Chardonnay
(2006-12-10 03:45:22 UTC)Citrus aromas and tastes of cantelope. Very unbalanced, however. Bitter at parts with an unpleasant acidic finish.
2005 Frog's Leap Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley
(2006-12-03 12:22:59 UTC)Aromas of lavender and grass, and maybe strawberries. Taste of citrus, melon and pear, but also a very crisp lemon finish. This wine really benefits from letting it breathe a good long while. The flavors mellow and it becomes very well balanced. Medium bodied with a long finish (but shortens in a nice way if you let it breathe).
2004 Milton Park Riesling Edon Valley
(2006-11-27 11:28:32 UTC)Straw colored. Delicate, even faint, floral aroma. Light and crisp. Mouth-puckeringly dry with a short finish. Lemon zest and floral tastes with a hint of mineral. Well balanced.
2005 Rombauer Vineyards' Carneros Chardonnay
(2006-11-20 12:51:47 UTC)Brown sugar and coconut aroma. Smells a bit like the beach. Tastes of butterscotch, coconut, and pineapple. Dry but smooth with a bit of an acidic finish.
2005 Cakebread Cellars Napa Valley Chardonnay
(2006-11-20 03:21:16 UTC)Green apple aroma (we had trouble smelling since the restaurant didn't have the best glasses.) Strong citrus taste with green apple and melon. Very crisp but with a smooth finish. Elegant yet very easy to drink.
