2004 vintage, musty in smell but sour fruit and flowers in taste, lingers for quite a while with a sour apple flavour on the back of the tongue, quite lovely

Nose: licorice, vanilla, a little metallic. Hits the back of the throat, and there's a big warm fruit taste too. Natural smell.

Whirl: Intriguing. To start, there seems to be no taste at all, then it comes in an epiphany. Bees wax! Lots of tannins. Aftertaste of frogs, asparagus, very green and it lasts a while. Absolutely no sweetness, but there is sour raspberry and a bit of vanilla. All sorts of things going on here. Carnival of Shiraz! After the first few swigs, it mellows and there is the taste of red pepper skin. Definite sour cherry aftertaste.

Scored 86 because it's dead nice and interesting but there is almost too much going on.
