I have a soft spot for NZ Sauvignon and this is a perennial favourite .. assuming you can find a bottle such is it's notority.

The small amount of Semillon added makes for a slightly fuller body compared to something like the Highfield Sauvignon Blanc.

Best enjoyed a few years after release (18 - 30 months) as it opens out and loses some of the greeness of it's youth

The Highfield Sauvignon Blanc has a stunning amount of gooseberry fruits on the nose. Strong levels of alcohol but the fruit seems to balance it well.

Much better than the 2004 vintage and now in a screwcap to keep it fresher still.

Had with assorted shellfish and it really held it's own and complimented the food very well. Highly recommended.
