This is a very good old vine Zin - being a big fan, I will definitely buy it again. It has a nice, complex fruity flavor with just the right amount of acid.

This is a really good, inexpensive table wine to have around. It's a smoky blend with a chocolaty smoothness.

Not sure if this was the year as I tasted it at my cousin's house. I found it be quite exceptional for a Shiraz. Very robust flavor. I'll definitely be seeking out my own bottle.

I won't lie - I picked this out because of the label. Who can resist a mystery? They also produce a wine with a big smiley face on the label - that will be my next purchase.
This is a Syrah/Cab blend and an excellent choice for the price. The flavor was much heavier than the Zin that I purchased on the same trip, but that is common with Cabs and Syrahs.
According to the label, the blend was a mistake. The Cab and Syrah were meant to be sold individually. An excellent mistake in my opinion.

I rarely say anything bad about an old vine Zin. The older the vine, the more complex the flavor. The one was produced from 35 to 70 year old vines. While it is not the best old vine Zin that I've tried to date, it is really good for the price. I'll most likely pick up a couple more bottles next time I'm in SF.

I always have high expectations of old vine zins. This one did not meet them. The flavor is a bit flat. You don't get the bold berries that you usually expect from an old vine zin.
