2004 Used Automobile Parts Red Table Wine
(2008-09-03 22:23:22 UTC)I was lucky enough to sample this wine from one of my wine reps. The bottle had been open about 4 hours and was great.
Dried cherries and smoke assault your nose with the lingering scent of vanilla. The wine is soft and velvety on the tongue. Lots of cola on the palate with a long lasting finish of cloves and spice.
2006 Peter Lehmann Botrytis Semillon
(2008-05-26 09:51:34 UTC)The aroma is all honey with a faint hint of peach. The wine is full bodied with a finish that tastes like sugared apricots and lasts forever. The sweetness starts on the tip of your tongue with a burst of honeysuckle. It reminds me of childhood, snacking on the honeysuckle bush outside my bedroom window. As the wine rolls towards the back of your mouth, you begin to taste the peaches that were faint on the nose. This dessert wine packs some heat at a whopping 12.5% alcohol and can definitely be tasted as the wine warms up. Keep this wine in a bucket of ice. This is the second time I've had the pleasure of drinking this Botrytis Semillon and it continues to be one of the most enjoyable bottles I've had the pleasure of drinking.
2005 Kono Baru Cabernet Sauvignon
(2008-01-17 00:26:49 UTC)This is my second time tasting this wine. It tasted young.
The first time tasting it, my wine rep brought it by on the second day after it was opened. It was much better the first time around. This bottle should either be decanted or opened the night before to get optimal taste.
2005 Louis Latour 2005 Pinot Noir
(2008-01-17 00:19:46 UTC)The aroma of the Pinot smelled highly alcoholic, but had alot of floral notes to it also. This was a very light, mellow, semi-dry Pinot Noir. Some Pinots these days are too full bodied, have too much umph to them. This was the classic, easy-going French style. It was oaky, but not overly so.
2006 Brancott Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc
(2008-01-17 00:14:04 UTC)This was pale green in color. Unfortunately, I was sick at this tasting and it smelled exactly like guava baby food. But I've gotten the same thing from a couple other Sauv Blancs before. The aroma was very refreshing. As was the taste. It had hints of bell pepper bouncing on my tongue which made me want to drink another glass. I enjoyed this and would drink it again.
2006 Loosen Bros Dr. L Riesling
(2008-01-17 00:10:09 UTC)This riesling was a light straw yellow with an aroma of strong peaches. The wine was slightly effervescent and made me say "Woah!" I don't normally like sweet rieslings, but this one was awesome.
2005 Francis Coppola Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Series Ivory Label
(2008-01-12 04:29:46 UTC)I wish I could get this one for $12.99. This is a nice solid cab. Not quite as big and bold as I like, but nice nonetheless.
2005 Hill of Content Pinot Noir
(2008-01-12 03:46:43 UTC)The aroma of cherries hits my nose and I am spellbound. Cherries and plums dance around my mouth with the earth that is Pinot Noir. A lasting finish makes this awesome and will bring me back for another bottle. And some organic dark chocolate.
NV Funf 5
(2008-01-12 03:36:38 UTC)Sweet! Almost sugary sweet. I enjoyed the glass I had, but am afraid I won't be drinking this one again. Would be great with strawberries.
2004 Vinum Slow Lane Cab
(2008-01-12 03:34:04 UTC)The nose is delicious with aromas of blueberries and chocolate. The first taste is juicy blackberries and has a nice long lasting dry finish.
