2004 Shafer Merlot
(2008-04-09 03:35:40 UTC)Like sipping on a Cherry Coke with a dash of vanilla. Absolutely amazing experience of a wine. Highly suggest.
2005 Lagier-Meredith Syrah
(2008-04-09 03:33:18 UTC)Very fruity, but unimpressive.
2005 Harmony Cellars Merlot
(2008-03-30 06:25:15 UTC)Overwhelming alcohol nose at first. White pepper and dark cherry scent with a mild raw sweet potato. The flavor was something like a smores -- marshmallow, graham cracker and a hint of milk chocolate. Great fore-taste, tart mid-pallet and a wonderfully smooth closer. The more this wine sat out the better it became.
2006 Wild Rock Pinot Noir
(2008-01-16 02:10:56 UTC)Very pleasant and enjoyable wine. I was reminded of a boysenberry pie completed with a hint of brown sugar. This wine is a winner for those that hate dry wines. Smooth, luscious and amazing.
2004 Craggy Range, Sophia, Gimblett Gravels Vineyard Hawke's Bay
(2008-01-16 02:07:25 UTC)Possible one of the worst wines that I have had in this price range. The wine was dark and heavy with an odd melon tone. The finish is indescribably rough. Avoid this one.
2004 Lapis Luna Petit Verdot
(2008-01-11 03:59:16 UTC)Drinking this wine was like sucking on an old saddle. The nose and flavor is clearly that of leather... unmistakable. There is a slight floral undertone that is topped off with melon rind. Avoid this wine like a Leper.
2003 Lapis Luna Zinfandel
(2008-01-11 03:53:06 UTC)A good Zinfandel... bordering on the edge of being great. Deep, dark and strong flavors that are fruity with a slight sweetness. The color is nearly opaque; guaranteed to dye your insides. I will be trying this again.
2004 Lapis Luna Merlot
(2008-01-11 03:48:22 UTC)A nice and mellow wine... non-offensive. I think even a newbie to wine could enjoy this wine. Heavy, fresh strawberry jam scent and flavor. Wouldn't purchase this one again, but I wouldn't refuse to drink it either. An above average beginner wine.
2005 Feudo Arancio Syrah Sicilia
(2007-12-14 19:49:07 UTC)Shockingly good Syrah from Italy. Fruity, sweet and a great sipping wine. Would pair great with a cigar and a round of Bocce.
2005 Clos LaChance Malbec
(2007-12-14 19:45:29 UTC)A beautiful California Malbec. Dark and deep in both color and flavor. Very dark fruit and chocolate flavor, but not sweet. The nose was fruity with an old world must to it. Absolutely amazing and a must try. Top-notch.
