Wow, I guess this is proof that everyone has their own palates...
Briefly pleasant dark cherry, quickly overpowered by the burn of alcohol and bitter greenness.
Definite pass and nearly undrinkable. The alcohol is too strong and the weak fruit cannot contain its burn. I was very confused because I had heard a lot about this wine and was excited to try it. Even at the cheap price point this isn't worth it.
(For what it's worth, I have heard good things about the 05 vintage, which is actually what I intended to buy but the gentleman at the wine store gave me the wrong vintage.)

Dark fruit on the forefront with a transition into some dark chocolate and tobacco, light-medium tannins. Very nice wine for the $$
