1997 Feudi di San Gregorio Piano di Montevergine Riserva
(2007-02-19 22:03:32 UTC)A nicely balanced wine. Notes of dark fruits and spice/pepper and bit of leather on the nose. On the palate it is medium/full bodied, not so dry. It has very fine and integrated tannins with full flavors from front- to mid-palate with plenty of finish. Tastes of nice spices and dark stewed fruit (in a nice way).
2002 Minick Vinyard Syrah
(2006-09-16 22:42:05 UTC)Dark fruit on the nose. Nice balance with plenty of smoky dark fruit, like plum and blueberries. Nice oak and smoky finish of brown sugar.
2004 Green Point Chardonnay
(2006-09-09 21:11:58 UTC)Completely boring. Had no aromas really and very boring taste. Quite astringent. Not a good wine at all
2005 Fleurie Les Garants
(2006-09-09 20:58:59 UTC)Cherry berry nose. Hardly any tannins at all, surpising in such a young wine. Had just a hint of pool water on the finish (chlorine?)
2003 Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria
(2006-09-09 13:04:54 UTC)Nose is deep and rich, with spices like cloves. First impression is that its like a port wine, but of course it's not. Very nice smooth tannins and dark fruit. Very nice to sip.
2001 Bethel Heights West Block Reserve
(2006-09-02 19:34:19 UTC)Lovely nose of dark fruit and bacon. Soft and velvety with plenty of nice berry fruit flavors like strawberry and raspberry and some plum. Long finish has hints of chocolate.
2003 Lorenzo
(2006-08-16 07:42:53 UTC)Beautiful ruby red color. Nice aromas of cherry and violets. Balanced and flavorful with cherries, some dark fruit (plum?) and nice spice notes. Finish last a nice long time.
1998 Les Forts de Latour
(2006-08-05 07:12:53 UTC)Perfume nose with flowers. Solid tannins and big round mouth feel. Solid flavors all over the palate. Went very well with dry aged rib eye last night.
1999 Ryan Patrick Vineyards
(2006-08-05 06:57:52 UTC)Velvet mouth feel, with a nice rounded attack. Finish is warm, herbal and lingers for a respectable amount of time.
This wine has a nice balance, and favors its Merlot majority. Tannins are soft and black cherry dominates the flavor profile.
