Bio

I used to be strictly a "strange brew" drinker; trying out all kinds of microbrewed beers. I still enjoy a good beer (ales, hefe weizens, maybe a stout now-and-then) but after visiting Napa and Sonoma several times in the late 90's, I became interested in good wines just as much as good beers. I would like to increase my knowledge and appreciation of wines and Cork'd may just help with that.

Very light taste, somewhat weak in flavor. Hint of vanilla and butter.

Sunday evening: my favorite. Time for a good dinner with wine.

I found this Pinot Noir somewhat weak on flavor. It was light, a little on the dry side and had earthy taste.

Light, dry, delicious. Goes great with lasagna! One of the best Pinot Noirs I've had at this price ($9.99 US in my case).

Tastes of pear and a hint of apple, cream, and vanilla. I like this wine but it had a slight bite to it; a little on the dry side. It probably would have tasted better had I not been drinking it with bratwurst and spicey brown mustard. A good value.

2003 Firesteed Pinot Noir

Very enjoyable with no harsh aftertaste. Medium body. I suppose that's true of most Pinot Noirs, but this one is neither too sweet nor too punchy.

I like to try different Pinot Noirs but in between the ones I'm trying for the first time, I always return to Firesteed. It's a very good value.
