Like a California red Zin but with that earthy funk in the background. Some black cherry and plum. Definetly a soft finish.

This wine is quite palatable. Good structure, ruby red color and good mouth feel. Taste and nose are somewhat one dimensional. Sweet, tart, grapey with a hint of chalk or mineral. The alcoholic bloom was a bit overpowering.

Currant, spice and leather with a tinge of new oak(fine Cornithian leather that is.) Just kidding but if you've had a good syrah you know what I mean. This wine has a great mouth feel. Dense with a deep purplish, red color. Smooth finish but a little grapey.

Definite smokey oak, cherry and a hint of cream. Dark purple tint, good legs and quite opaque. Initial burst of flavor that faded after about 30-40 minutes. Great value in my opinion. I've had better syrahs but not for the money.

I can't remember much about tasting this wine. I tried it because I like their Carmenere. A perfectly drinkable wine.

2005 Thierry & Guy Fat Bastard Shiraz

Definite floral aromas (I smelled magnolia flowers.) Somewhat dry, medium body. Sweet, grapey finish. Semi-opaque, purple color with good legs (fine legs if you know what I mean.)
Very drinkable and a great value considering the price (just my opinion.)
