2002 Bodegas Bretón Rioja Loriñón Crianza
(2008-06-04 03:47:25 UTC)Nice ruby red color. Cassis and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Mouth filling medium body with firm tannins. Intense red fruits with vanilla and a nice long finish. I have another bottle which I think I will keep another year before having, if I can wait that long. A definite winner.

(2007-10-16 21:24:24 UTC)Light golden color, citrus and minerals on the nose, spritzy mouth feel, nice acidity with mineral and fruit flavors. A hint of peaches on the finish. Just right level of sweetness and not over powering.

2005 St. Urbans-Hof Riesling QBA
(2007-09-02 23:12:19 UTC)Golden color. Lemon, citrus on the nose. Spritzey mouth filling acidity with lemon and citrus flavors. Acidity remains on the finish. A great wine for the money.
2005 Fontana Candida Frascati Superiore
(2007-08-27 22:36:39 UTC)Pale golden yellow in color. Light floral nose with a hint of lemon citrus. Good acidity with nice mouth feel, crisp and clean with a slight nuttiness on the palate. Went well with tilapia fillets with mushrooms, onions, garlic, tomatoes and spinach.
2001 Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre
(2007-08-27 00:33:29 UTC)Dense ruby red color. Earthy nose with tar and a hint of licorice. Soft full mouth feel with soft tannins, hints of sour cherry and licorice on the palate with a lingering finish.
Kathleen, yes, I go for just about any wine regardless of color. However, I only buy 1 or 2 roses at a time and only in the summer months. Ron
