2004 E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône Red

Very very dark color and aeromatic for how muted and delicate the taste is.

We certainly got aromas of cherries and fruit on the nose, but much less of that upon tasting. Not too dry, not too sweet.

We got a subtle fruit taste and a hint of crushed black pepper on the front of the tongue.

In terms of a back pallate, a very smooth finish and not much aftertaste. For the price point, a VERY good buy.

We also tasted this with cheese and it really brought out the dairy flavors. Would certainly recommend it to others.

Earthy on the nose... Wood or a little barnyard. Maybe a touch of old people (sorry aunt Sally) on the nose.

BUT, there is def. some good fruit on the mid pallet. Really nice biting a long finish.

All in all, a damn good wine for the price point.
