Once upon a time I had a customer who bought me a case of wine each Christmas holiday. My husband bought me a nice, big wine rack that looks more like a piece of furniture. Now everything is in one place and I can get down to the business of sampling and sharing all this good wine! Christmas, 2008: I hit the jackpot and got a case of wine from my hubby, two bottles from the customer noted above, and a couple others from people I work with.

The wine bottle calls this wine soft, but I wouldn't. It's quite drinkable yet a little tart. It tastes fruity with a deep, dark red color.

This wine had a deep, rich, dark, red color that was perhaps the highlight. The flavors of black currant and chocolate make this a rich, concentrated wine. There was a faint hint of bitterness that made me want to only consume it with food.

Oak Grove Reserve Chardonnay was a smooth blend of tropical fruit flavors. There were notes of vanilla and oak. It went great with any meal and by itself.

It was fun having Reindeer Ranch to serve for the holidays. It's a nice, light-tasting, fruity rose and goes good with any kind of food. It's also good by itself. It's a very clear, pretty color.

Rich in deep red color, this was a smooth wine, with a hint of fruit. Otherwise it tasted quite earthy and robust, and had no aftertaste.

This is a muddy, murky red wine with a spicy, berry flavor. I also detect a hint of vanilla. I decided it was close enough to Halloween to open the bottle!
