Heat is the word in this wine. Almost rubbing alcohol like taste, I felt like I couldn't taste anything else but the acidity. Perhaps I should have decanted the bottle for a couple hours... Other then the heat, there were distinct fruit notes.

Black cherries, blue berries, any berry, plum and pepper on the nose. All these scents transfer to the flavor, but it feels a little heavy on the pepper. Fruit forward and smooth. As it opens up it gets more peppery,but this is a great all around wine to enjoy, especially if you are looking for a lower- end pinot.

The nose is made me think this wine was going to be full of flavor with peach, some oak, apples. But the first glass was flabby, watery and not too overwhelming, but after a while you get a bit of pepper and some oak in the taste.

Nothing special- entry level, cheap wine. Serves great at parties where people just want some wine and are not as concerned about the nose, tannins, finish, etc., so it does its purpose as far as I'm concerned.
