2006 Le Tendance Bordeaux Rose
(2008-03-23 23:05:18 UTC)My first dry, heavy rose. The weight on this wine was comparable to a SB or chard!
2005 Jacques Sans Souci Rouge
(2008-03-23 23:03:14 UTC)Amazing value for an $8 wine! Nice and fruity balance, a bit of floral aspects, some spice. Great, cheap, everyday Bordeaux!
2004 Crane Lake Petite Sirah
(2008-03-23 23:01:58 UTC)I didn't quite enjoy this wine. I twas really tight, on the nose and while drinking... When it finally did open up (an hour or so in the decanter) it was full of spices, a bit of berries... This is definitely a wine you must decant
2006 Clone 5 Pinot Noir Central Coast
(2008-03-23 23:00:08 UTC)Fruity all around! I can see the mass appeal of this wine! It's quite pricey for the quality, I've had more serious wines for a few bucks less...
2005 7 Deadly Zins Zinfandel
(2008-02-24 20:40:12 UTC)Heat is the word in this wine. Almost rubbing alcohol like taste, I felt like I couldn't taste anything else but the acidity. Perhaps I should have decanted the bottle for a couple hours... Other then the heat, there were distinct fruit notes.
NV The Big Red Monster
(2008-02-24 20:36:02 UTC)Fruit forward on the nose but unexciting on the taste. Although, I must say that this is a solid wine, its probably not something I would buy in the future.
2005 2005 Falesco Merlot Dell Umbria
(2008-02-24 20:34:52 UTC)2005 Pessagno Central Avenue Pinot Noir
(2008-02-23 06:35:03 UTC)Black cherries, blue berries, any berry, plum and pepper on the nose. All these scents transfer to the flavor, but it feels a little heavy on the pepper. Fruit forward and smooth. As it opens up it gets more peppery, but this is a great all around wine to enjoy, especially if you are looking for a lower- end pinot.
2004 Sutter Home Pinot Grigio
(2008-02-23 05:09:46 UTC)The nose is made me think this wine was going to be full of flavor with peach, some oak, apples. But the first glass was flabby, watery and not too overwhelming, but after a while you get a bit of pepper and some oak in the taste.
2005 Yellow Tail Shiraz 2
(2007-12-29 21:50:13 UTC)Nothing special- entry level, cheap wine. Serves great at parties where people just want some wine and are not as concerned about the nose, tannins, finish, etc., so it does its purpose as far as I'm concerned.
