I had this wine a few days ago, so I am now sketchy on all the details, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality for a $6 bottle of wine. Smooth and basic, yes. Easy to drink, yes. This will be an easy wine to pair with a variety of foods.

I gave this an 84 precisely based on the fact that there is something there that just rubbed me the wrong way over the course of the bottle. On the nose, there is some black fruit and earthy tones, with something else I can't quite place (green peppers, maybe?). Plenty of fruit on the palate, and the earthy notes come through too. This wine opened up a bit after being in the glass for several minutes. There is something on the finish, however that I did not like after a while. It was not nearly as prevalent while I was eating as it was in the glass I had after dinner was over.

Not a particularly memorable wine, but one that is easy to drink. The aromas are not overpowering, but pleasant. Red berries dominate. The wine drinks smooth, with a fairly short finish.

Lots of berry aromas on the nose. Bright fruit taste, and a clean finish. I am headed back to the store to buy some more.
