Oberbergener Bassgeige Pinot Grigio 2004
(over 2 years ago)Very unique Pinot Grigio from Germany. Great acidity with flavors of green apple, pear and mineral. The wine is dry and has a long finish. You can only drink this wine at Seasons52 because they are the only place in the US with it!
Oberbergener Bassgeige Pinot Grigio 2004
(about 1 year ago)Pinot gris at its best, similar yet not to be confused with its cousin Pinot grigio, because this, although dry it isnt so dry that it is rustic and scratchy on the tongue. This wine takes on a silky satin-like quality in the mouth. You can smell and detect the slate and minerals in the taste. Lovely pear and apples masquerade in an almost shocking 24kt gold color. A middleweight champion which can fool the inexperienced palate into thinking this wine is sweet.
