Senior year of college, my chef buddy John would blow half his paycheck on wine, and where his judgement might have failed him, his priorities were nevertheless dead on. As his roommate, I got to benefit from his generosity with the wine. This cab was my favorite of John's biweekly picks. It's got a rich, oaky taste to it without being too overbearing, and it doesn't cost too much to be an occasional treat.

Tried this wine in the tasting room and it was delicious. It has a dark berry and toasted oak nose that is complemented by it's full-bodied flavor. It did have a noticeable amount of tannins but this added to its complexity. It is great to drink now, but will be even better if rested for 3-5 years.
