This was an OK wine. I bought it on a whim at safeway (studies show people like labels with animals on them), and I'm not too disappointed. It's a fairly typical expression of Pinot Noir--it's got a pretty strong attack up front with flavors of strawberry (almost an artificial strawberry candy), and then tons and tons of mushroom and barnyard in the mid palette. There's some oak in the finish, but (in my opinion) it fades a little too quick. It's a little generic, but not bad. I paired it with a fresh garden pasta, and it went very well.
