Clos La Coutale 2004 Cahors
(about 1 year ago)2003 vintage. Aroma of rosemary, sage, herbs, some petroleum notes. color is very deep and concentrated--purple/red. light on the palate, very soft, smooth tannins. herbal and slightly smoky flavor, but soft and smooth. good acidity to balance the lushness. finish isn't very lasting. overall a very drinkable wine, suitable to many red meat or cheese courses. very good value.
