Marqués de la Concordia Signa Reserva
(over 2 years ago)This superb Rioja is aged for 24 months in new French and American oak casks, and made from 100% Tempranillo - and boy can you tell! Wonderful oak flavours give way to deep and complex spiced berry tastes, with a long, sublime aftertaste.
You really can taste the age and elegance of this exceptional wine which I cannot recommend highly enough. The plurb tells of 'bringing together the best of both the New and Old World - New World style and Old World terroir' - if this is an example of the future I welcome it with open arms, a truly fantastic wine!
Colour is a delightful deep ruby red with a smoky cloud

(about 1 year ago)A good example of a classic Rioja, nice nose and fruity. Very pleasant to drink.
