Yellow Tail Chardonnay is the budget wine of the first decade of the 21 century. Just like Thunderbird of the 60's, Blue Nun of the 70's, 2 buck chuck of the 90's. They are all budget produced in very high volume. Are budget taste are getting better every decade. But it is still not very exciting to drink.

Average at best. Could use some acidity, but does offer some nice fruit. I had it with dinner at a local wine bar...and it really disappointed me. With their clout and ability to purchase better grapes...they could do much better.

The nose is a bit rank and ultimately boring. Very unbalanced on the mouth. Unnatural oak quality that doesn't leave a good aftertaste. This wine, if you can call it that, is awful. I have had better wine come from a box.
