2004 Mas Que Vinos, Ercavio Roble, La Mancha
(over 2 years ago)I had higher hopes for this Tempranillo - the initial taste was very astrigent and tannic. It did improve some with aeration. After a few small slices of smoked-gouda cheese, the wine was a lot softer on the palate (the cheese calming the tannins). The nose did hint toward fruit, and the actual taste was still dry. Overall, this wine was not horrible by any means, but I would not drink it again.

(about 1 year ago)Improves greatly with air. Markedly better a day later. Blackberry fruit and spices really show. Recommend decanting for a few hours prior to drinking.

(about 1 year ago)Good tannins, great finish. Lots of plum and spice. Really good stuff.
