2004 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc
(2007-07-20 20:24:42 UTC)I tasted (and bought) this at the Cloudy Bay vineyard and have never looked back in my love for NZ Sauvignon Blancs.

(2006-06-02 12:34:27 UTC)I have a soft spot for NZ Sauvignon and this is a perennial favourite .. assuming you can find a bottle such is it's notority.
The small amount of Semillon added makes for a slightly fuller body compared to something like the Highfield Sauvignon Blanc.
Best enjoyed a few years after release (18 - 30 months) as it opens out and loses some of the greeness of it's youth

(2006-05-25 08:31:15 UTC)A wonderful dry and aromatic white from NZ, as others say it is a little overpriced.
Its great very chilled, its incredibly refreshing and easy to drink but the wine has loads of character too.
Highly recommended.

(2006-05-21 12:31:18 UTC)This to me is what white wines should be all about.
Dry, crisp, light, sharp, refreshing.
This is a wine to be served ICE cold, on a hot summer afternoon with fish & chicken off a hot smoking grill.
It reminds me very much of Chablis in it's taste and how it sit on the palette.
This wine is sooo crisp, sharp and refreshing you'd think it was green (which it actually is a little).
Packed full of gooseberry, granny smith apples, lime, etc.

(2006-05-14 20:02:43 UTC)Timeless, if somewhat overpriced, Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Very hard to get in the UK due to limited export. We bought a whole case last year and it was gone in a matter of months.
Classic gooseberry and citrus taste typical of Sauvignon Blanc. With the crispness of green apples, this wine is best served cold on a hot summers evening. Definitely one to add to your list.
