Kali Hart 2005 Chardonnay
(over 2 years ago)Smooth and crisp chardonay with a wonderful blend of oak, light butter and bright fruitiness including pears and such things. Very nice with a fish or maybe a mild roast chicken also. One of the more affordable bottles from this vineyard. Their high end stuff is amazing but of this class sub-$20 this is great.

(about 1 year ago)nice very, very light straw color. i found the aroma a bit off--too much canned vegetal smell. not much complexity in the aroma otherwise. this chard is full of tropical fruit flavors, decent amount of butteryness and a good kick of acidity at the end, which saves the wine. light on the palette and kind of fun. definitely a california chard, but nicely put together. not too flabby or thick. a bit too oaky/buttery for my taste, but surprisingly a decent food wine. i almost gave it a 2 b/c of the aroma, but think overall it is a pretty good pick even if not totally up my alley.

(about 1 year ago)I think the above posts sum it up pretty well... Lots of tropical fruit, and a nice clean acidity in the finish. A solid 3.5 stars.
