The Little Penguin Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)Budget wine with an easy going style. Great with blackened fish or steaks. Fruitful, zest driven blackberry livliness with a delicate, smooth and rounded finish. Excellent and easy drinking and suitable for most occassions!
The Little Penguin Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)A good tasting but hearty budget red wine, this Shiraz goes well with red meat or hearty seafood dishes.
The Little Penguin Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)Very fruit forward and on initial taste rather sweet. Not much in way of body, but the price is right and may be better with food rather than on its own.
The Little Penguin Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)A great tasting shiraz with plenty of the typical spice and fruits that add enough complexity to make you forget that you only spent $6 on the bottle.
The Little Penguin Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)Having left a newly opened bottle uncorked overnight, I, with heavy heart, did dump the oxygenated contents down the drain. Then, with renewed bounce in my step did I turn around and grab another bottle of The Little Penguin Shiraz, pop open the cork, and pour myself a hearty glass. I have been waiting to start reviews on this site at least partially in anticipation of getting to review this very wine. Friends will laugh when they see this review, having been on the receiving end of many a product pitch for this wine, as if I were a ward of the Australian wine company myself. I am not, but will try to sell you on this wine anyway, just because I like it so much.

The Little Penguin Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)Very nice supper wine. Not the best on its own, but great paired with food. Nice body, ripe with fruit flavors, but not a sweet wine. A little dry and zingy.
The Little Penguin Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)I seldom have wine with dinner, but prefer to just sip it on its own. This one, in addition to having a cute name, definitely stands on its own two feet. I can't pretend to have a tremendously distinguished palate, but I definitely got some strong berry flavors, mayble a little pepper, and I want to say almost a nutmeg note in there, but I may just be crazy. Definitely a good wine for the price.
The Little Penguin Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)I wasn't impressed with this wine at all. Decent aroma, ok body, but horrible finish. Almost musty. Could have been mildly corked... but not probable due to the synthetic cork. Just my 2 cents.

(over 2 years ago)Like the Yellow Tail, the Little Penquin Shiraz is another excellent wine from Autralia for the price.
The Little Penguin Shiraz
(about 1 year ago)Very drinkable for the price. Almost sweet.

(about 1 year ago)Sweet and fruity up front. Not half bad. But definitely on the sweet side.

(about 1 year ago)Dark fruit, well-balanced, medium finish, drinkable wine. Pairs well with bbq or cajun style food. Good-great value.
The Little Penguin Shiraz
(about 1 year ago)For only 7 dollars, who can complain. It paired well with my vodka rustica. A very simple, fruit forward wine. It's not anything outstanding, but let me say it ain't bad either. Just a good wine to go with some food. A little one dimensional.
