Big blackberry taste, but it never succumbs to being sweet or jammy. Moderate tannins and a slightly spicy taste. It would be good buddies with lamb or beef. At at $13.99 CDN, this is simply one of the best value wines I've had all year. I'll be buying a bunch more.

Nice, very smokey and a slight bbq flavour on the finish.

Nose brings some unique and interesting aspects, lots of old flowers (dandilions and roses) almost like a compost bin of garden flowers. Midpalate is not bad, lots of Crush grape soda or likamaid grape candy, hell, any kind of grape candy. Finish just plain sucks, but this is a bit of an endearing wine. It’s not that bad, and for $11 I really don’t mind it. Certainly one of the more interesting syrah based wines and all things being equal it’s ok in my book.
