Toasted Head Chardonnay

(over 2 years ago)Clean finish with a really unique spice. Different than any chardonnay I've had. I loved this wine.
Toasted Head Chardonnay
(over 2 years ago)My general problem with inexpensive Chardonnay is that most of it tastes dry without much actual flavor. Toasted Head is one of the very few exceptions. It's just dry enough to balance out the nectarine-and-pear undertones that accompany it. It's sold at Costco, too. Hooray!
Toasted Head Chardonnay
(over 2 years ago)Well balanced, hints of oak, a touch of sweetness.
Toasted Head Chardonnay
(over 2 years ago)This is a big and buttery California-style Chardonnay. So if you're a fan of un-oaked Chardonnay or Chardonnay made in steel tanks, this probably won't work for you because the oak really hits you. By now, everyone probably knows that Toasted Head burns the inside of the barrels to make this stuff and the smokiness really comes through. I like this stuff by itself but it's strong enough to match with creamy pasta sauces and pork. I've had it with Tex-Mex and it held up just fine.
Toasted Head Chardonnay
(over 2 years ago)This is a very strong Chardonnay as it has an extremely oaky taste. However, I did detect some pear flavors as well. It is a medium-bodied wine with a creamy texture. If you prefer sweeter or off-dry wines, this is not the wine for you. This would be the perfect wine to have on a cold winter's night.
Toasted Head Chardonnay
(over 2 years ago)Buttery smooth with a hint of peppery spice. Not as sweet/fruity as say Dry Creek Vineyard chard, but my wife and I prefer it that way. Pairs great with poultry of all sorts.
Toasted Head Chardonnay
(over 2 years ago)I adore this wine; as noted before, it's unlike the typical chardonnay; it's still got a robust mouth feel, but has a lot less sweet and a lot more mineral. Great, great stuff.

(over 2 years ago)Background: I did not choose this wine, it happened to be served at a dinner I was at. I usually hate California Chardonnays, and this was different only in that it had far too much oak, rather than too much oak.
Toasted Head Chardonnay
(over 2 years ago)Perfect balance between dry and sweet make this a great Chardonannay for the price. Much more flavor and richness than I was expecting.

(about 1 year ago)Typical over-oaked and buttery California chardonnay. If you like oak and butter, you will like this wine. Personally, if this wine was under $10, I would buy some for when I feel like having oak and butter wine with my dinner.

(9 months ago)Nice and Oaky. Pretty much the only Chardonnay I can stomach, although I'd love a recommendation for another. Great with sushi and spicy food.
