13.5% alcohol Aromas of small red fruits, leather and spices. A complex wine with licorice, spicy flavors and silky tannins. This red wine is a wonderful expression of the Cotes du Rhone appellation. A friendly wine which will perfectly match grilled lamb, pork and assorted cheeses. 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Mourvedre from 25 year-old vines.

(over 2 years ago)Excellent value and easy drinking. Notes of blueberries and cedar, with some herbal flavors. Edited to add: I've now gone through about a case of this stuff. I like it more and more after every bottle. It's really a great everyday wine at a wonderful price. Buy some now! (unless you shop at Smith & Vine, and then don't -- please leave it all for me)

(about 1 year ago)The nose was initially tight primarily a leather & spice expression. Some red fruit developed with time. There was a licorice & earthy spice flavor. The tannins were present but soft. I thought the flavor profile faded quickly. This wine is not very interesting on its own. I tried this wine with a variety of cheese and was pleased with it. It seemed to be best with soft cheeses with strong flavors. I won't buy this wine again because there are better choices at this price from this region.
