This is not a Barbera, it is a Piedirosso.

lacrima christi del vesuvio
(over 2 years ago)Nice Plummy color. Aromas of ash, plum and red meat. This is a super smokey, dark berry, delite for the palate. Nice spicy (almost bbq like the next day) and balanced with more spice on the finish. The name of this wine means "tears of christ at vesuvius", it is believed that during Christ's assention his tears fell to earth and fell in this spot in Campania, where divine vines began to grow. Very old vine rosso.
